He is a passionate LGBTQ+ advocate, author of Pride and Prejudice: Healing Division in a Modern Family, and a survivor of conversion therapy. Growing up in a conservative Mormon household with a father who served as a Republican congressman, Dr. Salmon overcame tremendous adversity to embrace his identity and champion equitable mental health care for LGBTQ+ youth and families.
